Tasmanian veneers are used for a range of purposes such as interior and furniture design. Veneer is thin layers of timber sliced from a larger piece, dried and then sorted by feature, grain and colour.

Available in the full range of species and grades, this versatile product can be assembled into a sheet called a layon.

This is then used as the facing layer on sheet material such as MDF, or cut and assembled into patterns.

Veneer is often matched with solid sawn timber of the same species in furniture, joinery and lining.
